Review by Zhoeltan Rezha

Poets' album, She Blew A Good Thing, is a soulful and introspective collection of songs that explores the complexities of love and loss. The band's smooth vocals and melodic instrumentation create a serene and reflective atmosphere that invites listeners to delve into the emotional depth of the lyrics.

The album's title track, "She Blew A Good Thing," is a standout, with its hauntingly beautiful melody and poignant lyrics about a relationship that has gone awry. Other notable tracks include "Brokenhearted," a tender ballad about the aftermath of a breakup, and "Lost in You," a dreamy and atmospheric song about the intoxicating power of love.

About The Poets

One of two USA groups with the same name working in different parts of New York City (the other Poets recorded for and eventually formed the basis for 70s hitmakers the Main Ingredient, see ). The Poets recorded three 45s for Juggy Murrays Symbol records in the mid-60s. Led by Ronnie Lewis (who gets co-writing credit with Murray), the Poets also featured Melvin Bradford, Paul Fulton and Johnny James. She Blew a Good Thing made it all the way to #2 on the R&B charts (scraping the outer limits of the Pop Top 40) in the spring of 1966.

I remember when my brother bought this 45 record. He also just got an Italian knit shirt that was the rage back then along with a Kangol cap. We danced to that record doing the Boogaloo lol! We were so cool, so we thought.

I don't know why people think this is the White group The Poets from UK. This is the Black Poets from New York. Before they became the Main Ingredients.

How can we sharpen our strengths to recover the mind from the hands of loss and fragmentation, and are there successful plans that will enable us to return to the right cultural situation?!

Based on the pillars of literary development and from a rational basis, we were supposed to re-develop a modern educational vision, based on the output of a generation of creative writers capable of improvising all kinds of cultural discourses.
Nations will not only rise to technology, but also to the sensory growth of man, and the student will not be mentally capable unless he or she can read literature and poetry.
